Google Pokemon Master!
Tuesday, April 1, 2014 @ 12:18 AM
So this is obviously Google's April Fool's joke, but anyone who knows me knows that I am loving this joke!
Check out the video below to get the jist of it. If you can't view the video, keep reading this paragraph. So basically, Google is searching for the true "Pokemon Master" and if you update the Google Maps app on your iPhone or Android device, you can "catch" Pokemon in places all over the world. In the first hour I caught around 50 of them. The video goes on to say that those who catch all 150 Pokemon will have a chance to go to Googleplex and "battle" against others to be considered the Pokemon Master and for the chance to work for Google. HOW COOL IS THAT!?
The winner apparently will start working for Google on September 1st, 2014. This is where I am wondering if this is really a joke. I would love to work for Google and catching Pokemon in order to qualify for a chance to try to work for them is so genius and right up my alley! So I hope something comes of this because I caught them all already and the deadline is April 2nd! Apparently Mew can be caught as well so I will continue the search.
Here are a few pictures:
Here is the banner before you catch all 150...
And then Beautifly took me forever to find (notice my battery life, hah) but here is the banner once you catch all 150!
Oh and I found the Tardis right off the bat. ;)
Good luck to those still searching!
Hoping to be back to my regular blog posts soon. My MacBook charger snapped in half so my laptop doesn't work and it's MUCH easier to do things on there rather than on my desktop.

Tillandsia Mail!
Friday, March 28, 2014 @ 12:31 AM
Recently I ordered some tillandsia plants, aka air plants, to add to my collection and on Wednesday, they arrived!
The box was plain but inside was like searching for buried treasure. TOO COOL!
Just two little guys hiding in there. Or so I thought...
They included a few Mammoth Russian Sunflower Seeds! I never knew there was such a thing, so I definitely can't wait to plant them!
Also included a helpful card full of quick care info.
The info card is helpful because my other air plants aren't doing so well, but they still look really cool in their dinosaur holders!
Did some research and pruned them a little bit.
Filled my favorite mixing bowl with lukewarm water...
And let them soak under the water for half an hour or so to get a good drink for the week.
Now, they're dry and ready for the next step: their homemade terrarium homes!
Stay tuned.
P.S - I ordered these specific ones on Amazon but there are some really great super cheap ones available on Etsy as well. I will get my next batch from there for sure!

ILostABet.org
Thursday, March 20, 2014 @ 7:28 PM
So I have been requesting a lot of freebies online. I've joined a lot of different sample sites and been reading blogs that have great tips on getting fun things in the mail. One site I came across is called ILostABet.org where I received a FREE t-shirt! But there's more than the free t-shirt that goes along with this particular freebie, it's also a chance to start a conversation and help people.
The shirt is huge (ordered a little too big, but I'll fix it) and dark grey with "# I LOST A BET" across the front in yellow. I didn't really lose a bet, which is why this is a great conversation starter. Somemone might come up and ask "What bet did you lose?" This gives me a chance to explain that I didn't lose a bet but if you know someone with a serious gambling problem, please have them visit ilostabet.org (at least I can say this until I really do lose a bet ;)). There are fun bets and there are dangerous ones and I know a few people in my life who have beginning signs of gambling problems so I hope wearing this shirt and telling them where they can get help will lessen the chances of serious loss. I love that I received this shirt on the first day of March Madness, it will get a lot of wear this month.
BE SAFE WHEN YOU GAMBLE!

Easton Haul!
Saturday, March 1, 2014 @ 12:09 AM
First we had DELICIOUS P.F. Changs for lunch because I had a $25 gift card from one of my dogsitting jobs. Lunch menu was cheap so we paid less than $5 for lunch for the both of us. We were clean platers, which I'm happy about cause I hate carrying leftovers around when I'm shopping, UGH.
Then we headed to LUSH Cosmetics, one of my favorite stores. The people are always so nice and knowledgeable about all of the products and have great suggestions. I went in just looking to buy a bath bomb or two and I ended up buying/leaving with:
- two bath bombs
- Ro's Argon (been wanting for a while)
- a Charity Pot
- a take-home sample of Ocean Salt (another favorite that I still can't buy until I finish my Rub Rub Rub lol. I PROMISED MYSELF!)
- a FREE subscription to their catalog in the mail, yay!
Next we stopped into Bath & Body Works cause I got an email saying that their Wallflower refills were only $3 TODAY ONLY (of course, they have these sales all the time but I wanted to stock up on some more Springy scents before it starts getting warm out *whenever that will be...*) so Chaz helped my pick out SEVEN of them omg, overboard but we couldn't help it and I'm excited for our apartment to keep on smelling delicious! About $18 spent here...
Then we went into PacSun because we both still had gift cards we needed to spend. Of course I ended up leaving mine in my other wallet in my car (nooo :( ) but the awesome Vans sweatshirt I bought was on 70% OFF clearance for $14, so I still would have to come back to use it, as Chaz tried to justify for me cause he's a sweetie and knew I was bummed about forgetting my gift card lol... Chaz on the other hand spent $67 on top of the $50 gift card he had (which still blows my mind) on so much cute stuff. But he looks cute in everything ;) PLUS he got some new cologne so that's exciting as well cause I looove when I get to breathe in his smellies :D Anyway, I'll be back for you, PacSun, with gift card in hand!!
We hit up H&M next and I found a cute grey shirt to wear while exercising that I really like for $10 and Chaz got some more cute stuff like suspenders, a vest (he's been DYING for a puffy one), and sunglasses (he keeps losing his in the ocean? That was his excuse haha. WE LIVE IN OHIO, SILLY MAN!)
Lastly, we went to Forever 21 which is a store that I love but I really need to lose weight so I can fit into their regular sized clothes better, UGH. So to help with that I spent $63 on:
- a hot pink sports bra
- a some-what see through black long sleeve shirt to sweat in
- 3 camis
- compression pants for when we start riding bikes again and for everything else
- a couple of extra things for some friends who had birthdays recently ;)
Above is a picture of what I got, with one of our cats Weezer looking a little unimpressed.

We love her and I will most likely be posting a lot of pictures of her everywhere now.

Ch-ch-ch-changes!
Tuesday, December 4, 2012 @ 11:25 AM
However, this craziness has brought about some nice things as well because tomorrow, Chaz and I get the keys to our first condo together! We signed the lease on Friday and I have been Miss Antsy pants about it ever since. Tomorrow cannot come soon enough! The office lady said I could come at 8:30am if I wanted to but I think I will be nice and go a little later if I can handle the wait! We got our garage door opener today which we had to wait a little extra for but that's okay because now instead of a key for a broken lock, they installed a garage door opener with a button free of charge! Of course it had to rain today so we moved a little bit of stuff into the garage but not much for fear of getting stuff all wet. It's supposed to be sunny tomorrow so I will clean and inspect and move all of that stuff into the apartment while Chaz is at school. Then I have a chiropractor appointment, which is another new thing. My back was getting so bad from getting hit by a Durango last year and from my mom's genetics that I couldn't stand it anymore so I've been going to the chiropractor multiple times a week and I feel SOOOO much better. And now that we will have our own place, I will hopefully have lots of time to exercise and get in shape and keep up with the blog!

Whoops!

Yesterday I was really motivated to be active! I got my nails done and ran a few other errands; then I came home and my parents were out to dinner so I had the whole house to myself. I lifted some weights, tanned, did 20 minutes of Zumba, and 6 minute Hip Hop abs. I also cleaned and later did some extra curricular exercise with my honey, HEH. Hey, I think that definitely counts cause it is for sure a workout! Haha.
Lately, I've been eating a little differently as well. I used to not like eggs very much, but for the past 4 nights in a row I have had one egg and a glass of chocolate milk for dinner. I crave them every day now! It's such a small meal but it keeps me feeling full so I love it. Not sure how healthy it is for the cholesterol and whatnot to eat an egg every day but I'm sure it's better for me than a lot of other things.

My name is Sam and I'm a 25 year old lazy girl from Ohio, hoping to turn myself into a hottie before it's too late! I currently work 3 jobs while I try to find my place in the working world. It's hectic and a little discouraging at times but I would love to use a blog to gather a community of friends and followers to help motivate and inspire me to live a better, more fulfilled life!
