This guy seems to think he's still my boyfriend... Helllooo... Chaz, you're my fiancé now!
Today was an amazing day! Chaz and I were able to take off of work today in order to spend the day together celebrating our 3 year anniversary! The day started a bit slow because Chaz had some plans for us but they were a little later in the day, so he was on the computer and I watched a little Game of Thrones. I was getting sleepy while waiting for it to be time to go so Chaz took a shower and we both got ready and left. He first took me to get my nails done! I got them a deep purple color and I love it. Made me feel good that my hands weren't looking gross while we were all dressed up. Then we headed to Easton and had PF Chang's for dinner. Expensive but soo delicious. We went and got Chaz's watch battery replaced and he got a jacket at Forever 21. I also found a giant red bow for when I hopefully dress as Kiki from Kiki's Delivery Service for Ohayocon next year for less than $2!
We walked around a bit and debated getting smoothies but we were still too full from dinner so we went and sat at our bench outside of Tiffany's in front of the fountain. We were sitting there snuggling a little and Chaz said I love you Sam. I of course told him I loved him as well and he pulled a ring out of his pocket and got on his knee and said "will you marry me?" I COULDNT' BELIEVE IT! I first smiled so big and said yes and then I couldn't stop the tears. It's so relieving and amazing to know that the man you love loves you just as much and wants to spend his life with you! It was so magical because the waters on the fountains got so huge after I said yes! I told him I took that as a sign and it made me cry harder, happier tears. We took a picture of the ring and he sent it to his family and his mom called us crying and it made me cry more! I called my mom and my dad and they were happy for us! Pretty much everyone knew except for me :P I sent a mass text with a picture of the ring to my aunts and cousins and my brother and his wife. Everyone's so happy and supportive and I feel completely different now. I'm so excited to continue our lives together!

KITTY PURRY!
Thursday, August 14, 2014 @ 1:31 AM
Tonight, well yesterday now, I did something somewhat spontaneous!
I had to work at the market today (Wednesday) from 10 to 2 and somewhat dreaded driving almost an hour into Columbus for a meeting at PromoWest to meet the new interns and hear a bunch of stuff I've heard before. I was trying to think of something to do in Columbus to make it worth driving all that way. While I was on my way, WNCI (one of Columbus' major radio stations)'s marketing worked on me - the DJ mentioned he was across from the arena where Katy Perry would be playing a concert doing a raffle for free tickets. I hurried over before my meeting to get my ticket into the raffle. He also mentioned that a few seats to the SOLD OUT show had just been released so I hit up the box office to see if some were still available in case I didn't win. I was in luck but the lady said the cheapest ones were $103, OUCH. I skipped out for now because I was going to be late to my meeting and I wanted to see if I would win first!
I went to my meeting and had some time to kill before the ticket drawing at 7PM sharp. I had some Jimmy Johns and debated getting slightly drunk to waste time but decided to keep my money (plus there was no room at ANY bar nearby, haha). So I sat around outside and I realized that the box office closed at 6PM, while I wouldn't know whether I won the drawing until 7PM. So I made the quick and very easy decision to just buy a ticket and go by myself instead of waiting to see if I had won a pair of tickets and trying to find someone to go with in a short amount of time.
I headed back to the box office and I told the new person at the window that I needed just one ticket and asked which was the cheapest. He said the cheapest was $83 and pointed to THE FLOOR SEATS! While the lady before him who mentioned the $103 ones pointed up in almost the nose bleed seats. I was so excited and yelled TAKE ALL OF MY MONEY in my mind. I of course didn't win the other pair so I headed inside and took my seat.
The concert was amazing - the production, lights, and stage performances - all of it! She even made me cry and think about some things during one of her songs. I sat near her family and it was cute watching them beam with pride. Katy has been through a lot to get where she is now and having watched her movie at a really hard time in my life, she has definitely helped inspire me to get through the shit and rise above it all. What happens, happens. And there are two sides to everything. And I'm better than I give myself credit for. I'm SO incredibly happy that I made the spontaneous decision to go to this show, and by myself, because I've been busy and constantly stressed so it was nice to forget the world for 3 hours. I definitely recommend seeing her and watching her movie. She's fucking awesome :D

So Many Goodies!
Friday, April 18, 2014 @ 12:30 PM
It has been a successful few weeks! Gonna share a few of the things Chaz and I scored recently.
This one was a few weeks ago but I found Chaz a Keurig machine that he has been wanting for a long time at the local thrift store so he went back the next day and bought it! OfficePro edition, basically brand new, just needed cleaned of course and it works like new straight out of the box for half the price.
We used it on my free sample of Gevalia Mocha Latte from PinchMe!
This week, we went to Target and finally found the perfect shower curtain and towels to match our rugs in our bathroom! I am soo excited about this, more than I probably should be, hah. Sorry, it needs ironed but we're just gonna let the steam from the showers iron it..
The matching hand towels...
Next we went to Ulta. I had a list of a few products from NYX I wanted to get and I was really excited that most of the things on my list were in the clearance section so Chaz picked out some colors for me (MOST of it was clearance, anyway).
So of these NYX Ultra Pearl Mania Loose Eyeshadows, I wanted to try a bright color so yellow was my first choice but then Chaz found all of these other colors while digging through the clearance stuff and actually had the idea for me to get ALL of them :D so I didn't mind!
Chaz also found a cute bow in clearance. He knows me too well!
These 3 were on my list but were NOT in the clearance section. I've never purchased lipstick before so I was nervous but knew which ones I wanted and that I wanted a few bold colors so of course, I made Chaz pick them. He made me wear the one in the middle for the rest of the day and boy was it BOLD. I was really self-conscious about it for a while but seeing it next to the pastel blue in my hair, it DID look nice!
My eyelashes are pretty tiny so I wanted to try out an eyelash curler and WOOT there was one in the clearance section (seriously lucked out on this day). Then this glittery NYX eyeliner was at the top of my list and I LOVE IT! I wear it pretty much every day now, it's so fun.
Another day this week, I went to Best Buy and finally got Chromecast and I love this as well! Can mirror my tabs right from my Macbook or my PC or even Chaz's PC or friends who are connected to our WiFi can even "Cast" to our TV from THEIR devices. And to help out the lag we were having with it at first, Chaz decided to drop some big money on a new badass router so now our WiFi acts as though each of our wireless devices are WIRED. NO LAG, NO BUFFERING, NO LOAD TIMES on all of our wireless devices!! It streams things seamlessly and we are so freaking excited to be able to watch pretty much anything we want to now with this new router and Chromecast. We were able to stream the hockey playoffs game as though we were watching it on cable. SO COOL!!
Also hit up Lush for some more of one of my favorite products, Rub Rub Rub! I use this stuff and Ro's Argan during every shower. They smell and feel amazing and the scents last all day! Definitely give confidence and the compliments are nice :)
Then yesterday, I initially went to the mall to hit up H&M for (what looked like) a really cute black kitty cat purse that I saw online but I'm glad I saw it before I ordered or bought it because it wasn't as great as I thought it would be, although it was cute :( Sad times. Anyway, I got this comfy striped shirt for $10 instead haha.
Another reason I went to the mall was to hit up The Container Store for some better fridge storage solutions (our fridge sucks as far as storing things). I went in there thinking I was gonna be spending some big bucks but to my surprise, the exact stackable fridge bins I was looking for were all ON SALE! I was so excited! Still spent some big bucks but not nearly as much as I WOULD have spent if they weren't on sale. Thank you, sale gods.
And last but not least, I went to PacSun looking to spend a little of my gift card from Christmas and found this super cute heart locket necklace with another charm on it with a C cut into the middle. Gotta love that Chazzy bb!

50/50 Coin Bank!
Friday, April 4, 2014 @ 1:15 PM
I recently saw a really nifty coin bank on the Urban Outfitters website but it was a little expensive (it's on sale right now, as of April 4, 2014!) so I looked it up on Amazon and bought it right away! Check it out. It's basically like Plinko from The Price Is Right! So you write something that you NEED to save up for on one side and something you WANT to save for on the other side. Drop in the coins and they fall to one side or the other! So genius :D
So here, I chose my car payment as the NEED bank side and a FitBit as the WANT bank side.
Here Chaz is dropping in the coins! They go so fast but you can at least see the shadow. Go coins, go! I didn't keep track so we will see who wins when it gets full!

Free samples?! Pinch Me!
Wednesday, April 2, 2014 @ 7:06 PM
This is exciting news because now I can be entered in their monthly gift card sweepstakes!
Haven’t heard of PinchMe? It’s a free sample website that I love because each Tuesday at noon they have free samples available for people to order from their website. The samples are catered toward each person and are available to each based on how they have filled out their profile during account setup, so some people get samples that others don’t. The samples go quickly but I have had no problems getting mine (though many others complain about not getting any, which is a shame since it’s all FREE. Patience, everyone!)
Yesterday I ordered my SIXTH box of free samples from them. The sample this time around will be Sinful Colors Cupid’s Arrow Purple Nail Polish, so I’m pretty excited (even though I bite my fingernails L)
Like this one, but purple haha
Once the samples arrive, I try them out and then go back to the PinchMe website, answer a few simple questions about my experience (takes less than a minute or two), and earn some more points to try to get to the next level. The levels aren’t really important, you get the samples either way. Pretty exciting and easy. Makes getting mail a lot more exciting, too!
SO, if you’re ready to get some nifty free samples, be sure to sign up using this link: http://fw.to/ICHdbyZ (it's just my referral link, no worries!)

Google Pokemon Master!
Tuesday, April 1, 2014 @ 12:18 AM
So this is obviously Google's April Fool's joke, but anyone who knows me knows that I am loving this joke!
Check out the video below to get the jist of it. If you can't view the video, keep reading this paragraph. So basically, Google is searching for the true "Pokemon Master" and if you update the Google Maps app on your iPhone or Android device, you can "catch" Pokemon in places all over the world. In the first hour I caught around 50 of them. The video goes on to say that those who catch all 150 Pokemon will have a chance to go to Googleplex and "battle" against others to be considered the Pokemon Master and for the chance to work for Google. HOW COOL IS THAT!?
The winner apparently will start working for Google on September 1st, 2014. This is where I am wondering if this is really a joke. I would love to work for Google and catching Pokemon in order to qualify for a chance to try to work for them is so genius and right up my alley! So I hope something comes of this because I caught them all already and the deadline is April 2nd! Apparently Mew can be caught as well so I will continue the search.
Here are a few pictures:
Here is the banner before you catch all 150...
And then Beautifly took me forever to find (notice my battery life, hah) but here is the banner once you catch all 150!
Oh and I found the Tardis right off the bat. ;)
Good luck to those still searching!
Hoping to be back to my regular blog posts soon. My MacBook charger snapped in half so my laptop doesn't work and it's MUCH easier to do things on there rather than on my desktop.

Tillandsia Mail!
Friday, March 28, 2014 @ 12:31 AM
Recently I ordered some tillandsia plants, aka air plants, to add to my collection and on Wednesday, they arrived!
The box was plain but inside was like searching for buried treasure. TOO COOL!
Just two little guys hiding in there. Or so I thought...
They included a few Mammoth Russian Sunflower Seeds! I never knew there was such a thing, so I definitely can't wait to plant them!
Also included a helpful card full of quick care info.
The info card is helpful because my other air plants aren't doing so well, but they still look really cool in their dinosaur holders!
Did some research and pruned them a little bit.
Filled my favorite mixing bowl with lukewarm water...
And let them soak under the water for half an hour or so to get a good drink for the week.
Now, they're dry and ready for the next step: their homemade terrarium homes!
Stay tuned.
P.S - I ordered these specific ones on Amazon but there are some really great super cheap ones available on Etsy as well. I will get my next batch from there for sure!

ILostABet.org
Thursday, March 20, 2014 @ 7:28 PM
So I have been requesting a lot of freebies online. I've joined a lot of different sample sites and been reading blogs that have great tips on getting fun things in the mail. One site I came across is called ILostABet.org where I received a FREE t-shirt! But there's more than the free t-shirt that goes along with this particular freebie, it's also a chance to start a conversation and help people.
The shirt is huge (ordered a little too big, but I'll fix it) and dark grey with "# I LOST A BET" across the front in yellow. I didn't really lose a bet, which is why this is a great conversation starter. Somemone might come up and ask "What bet did you lose?" This gives me a chance to explain that I didn't lose a bet but if you know someone with a serious gambling problem, please have them visit ilostabet.org (at least I can say this until I really do lose a bet ;)). There are fun bets and there are dangerous ones and I know a few people in my life who have beginning signs of gambling problems so I hope wearing this shirt and telling them where they can get help will lessen the chances of serious loss. I love that I received this shirt on the first day of March Madness, it will get a lot of wear this month.
BE SAFE WHEN YOU GAMBLE!

Easton Haul!
Saturday, March 1, 2014 @ 12:09 AM
First we had DELICIOUS P.F. Changs for lunch because I had a $25 gift card from one of my dogsitting jobs. Lunch menu was cheap so we paid less than $5 for lunch for the both of us. We were clean platers, which I'm happy about cause I hate carrying leftovers around when I'm shopping, UGH.
Then we headed to LUSH Cosmetics, one of my favorite stores. The people are always so nice and knowledgeable about all of the products and have great suggestions. I went in just looking to buy a bath bomb or two and I ended up buying/leaving with:
- two bath bombs
- Ro's Argon (been wanting for a while)
- a Charity Pot
- a take-home sample of Ocean Salt (another favorite that I still can't buy until I finish my Rub Rub Rub lol. I PROMISED MYSELF!)
- a FREE subscription to their catalog in the mail, yay!
Next we stopped into Bath & Body Works cause I got an email saying that their Wallflower refills were only $3 TODAY ONLY (of course, they have these sales all the time but I wanted to stock up on some more Springy scents before it starts getting warm out *whenever that will be...*) so Chaz helped my pick out SEVEN of them omg, overboard but we couldn't help it and I'm excited for our apartment to keep on smelling delicious! About $18 spent here...
Then we went into PacSun because we both still had gift cards we needed to spend. Of course I ended up leaving mine in my other wallet in my car (nooo :( ) but the awesome Vans sweatshirt I bought was on 70% OFF clearance for $14, so I still would have to come back to use it, as Chaz tried to justify for me cause he's a sweetie and knew I was bummed about forgetting my gift card lol... Chaz on the other hand spent $67 on top of the $50 gift card he had (which still blows my mind) on so much cute stuff. But he looks cute in everything ;) PLUS he got some new cologne so that's exciting as well cause I looove when I get to breathe in his smellies :D Anyway, I'll be back for you, PacSun, with gift card in hand!!
We hit up H&M next and I found a cute grey shirt to wear while exercising that I really like for $10 and Chaz got some more cute stuff like suspenders, a vest (he's been DYING for a puffy one), and sunglasses (he keeps losing his in the ocean? That was his excuse haha. WE LIVE IN OHIO, SILLY MAN!)
Lastly, we went to Forever 21 which is a store that I love but I really need to lose weight so I can fit into their regular sized clothes better, UGH. So to help with that I spent $63 on:
- a hot pink sports bra
- a some-what see through black long sleeve shirt to sweat in
- 3 camis
- compression pants for when we start riding bikes again and for everything else
- a couple of extra things for some friends who had birthdays recently ;)
Above is a picture of what I got, with one of our cats Weezer looking a little unimpressed.

We love her and I will most likely be posting a lot of pictures of her everywhere now.

Ch-ch-ch-changes!
Tuesday, December 4, 2012 @ 11:25 AM
However, this craziness has brought about some nice things as well because tomorrow, Chaz and I get the keys to our first condo together! We signed the lease on Friday and I have been Miss Antsy pants about it ever since. Tomorrow cannot come soon enough! The office lady said I could come at 8:30am if I wanted to but I think I will be nice and go a little later if I can handle the wait! We got our garage door opener today which we had to wait a little extra for but that's okay because now instead of a key for a broken lock, they installed a garage door opener with a button free of charge! Of course it had to rain today so we moved a little bit of stuff into the garage but not much for fear of getting stuff all wet. It's supposed to be sunny tomorrow so I will clean and inspect and move all of that stuff into the apartment while Chaz is at school. Then I have a chiropractor appointment, which is another new thing. My back was getting so bad from getting hit by a Durango last year and from my mom's genetics that I couldn't stand it anymore so I've been going to the chiropractor multiple times a week and I feel SOOOO much better. And now that we will have our own place, I will hopefully have lots of time to exercise and get in shape and keep up with the blog!

Whoops!
Saturday, February 4, 2012 @ 12:44 PM
Yesterday I was really motivated to be active! I got my nails done and ran a few other errands; then I came home and my parents were out to dinner so I had the whole house to myself. I lifted some weights, tanned, did 20 minutes of Zumba, and 6 minute Hip Hop abs. I also cleaned and later did some extra curricular exercise with my honey, HEH. Hey, I think that definitely counts cause it is for sure a workout! Haha.
Lately, I've been eating a little differently as well. I used to not like eggs very much, but for the past 4 nights in a row I have had one egg and a glass of chocolate milk for dinner. I crave them every day now! It's such a small meal but it keeps me feeling full so I love it. Not sure how healthy it is for the cholesterol and whatnot to eat an egg every day but I'm sure it's better for me than a lot of other things.

Edit: Scratch that Zumba Flat Abs; I found Hip Hop Abs on my computer for a 6 minute ab workout and it was awesome and kicked my butt haha. I can feel it though so I'm totally going to start doing that more often haha, damn! I also forgot to mention that I bought a new water bottle (since I somehow lost my favorite one when I was camping with Chaz & Co. :( ) and I have been drinking a lot more water! But I'm still constantly thirsty and I have really dry skin so I need to moisturize as well. But I just bought a Hello Kitty humidifier on Amazon! Yay! Here's my new Camelback water bottle from Target.

My name is Sam and I'm a 25 year old lazy girl from Ohio, hoping to turn myself into a hottie before it's too late! I currently work 3 jobs while I try to find my place in the working world. It's hectic and a little discouraging at times but I would love to use a blog to gather a community of friends and followers to help motivate and inspire me to live a better, more fulfilled life!
